Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How to take care of my bread?

Slice your bread using a serrated bread knife.

Never microwave your bread, as its texture will deteriorate.

For short term storage (2-3 days), you can keep the bread wrapped in kitchen towel at room temperature.

If you require longer storage, place the loaf in a freezer safe bag (ziplock) and freeze it for up to 3 months.

Per some customers' suggestion, slice your loaf before freezing, so that you can retrieve slices as needed. Never freeze the bread in paper or plastic bags that aren't suitable for freezer.

To defrost the bread, take it out of the freezer and let it sit on the kitchen counter for a few hours or overnight.

To freshen up (optional), you can heat the bread in the 350F oven for 5-6 minutes.

Is your bread organic?

At the present time, we offer only a few selections of 100% organic loaves.  However, all of our bread is made with unbleached, un-bromated flour. We use organic whole grain flours, organic cane sugar, free-range eggs, clean artesian well water and unrefined sea salt in all of our breads that include these ingredients.

Do you use commercial yeast?

Yes, we use small amounts of commercial yeast in some of our products to give them an extra lift. However, do offer a wide range of loaves free of commercial yeast.

Do you use enriched flour?

Yes, we use enriched white flour for majority of the breads at the present time.

How do I know which subscription to pick?

Everyone's flavor profile and texture preferences are different. If you are unsure which bread subscription to choose, we suggest starting with Baker's Choice - you'll gradually work your way through all of our breads and get an idea of which loaves you prefer. You can switch subscription types at any time!

What is the deadline for placing an order?
